On Saturday I have visited the Parallax Art fair, as per yearly tradition. This time my focus wasn’t just on the art work but also how artists promote their products, pricing and also branding. I have paid more attention to logos and brand names than ever before.
I find it interesting listening to how companies came out with the names and logos for their brands. Some of them are obvious some I would have never guessed. Some have history behind the name, some don’t and are quite random.
Going back to our group project. Before the final outcome that we agreed on, there was a brainstorm of ideas which were done digitally by Alessandra.

I have then challenged myself to create a GIF for our brand. It took me some time to come out with an idea on how to present it and I wasn’t quite sure if I should start with designing it first or simply play around in Photoshop and see what comes out. When we look at a simple GIF or an animation we don’t even realise that it must’ve been time consuming and that it requires a lot of time frames for each scene.

FINAL OUTCOME
There is obviously room for improvement but it takes practice to feel confident enough with Adobe packages to create perfect GIF in one day or few hours.
This project inspired me to work more digitally. I have used Creative Cloud a lot last year however I had a little break and now the knowledge slowly comes back. Doing this project I feel like using digital makes things look more neat and professional.
