Project 3: 3D tour continuation

I have been advised about something that I know but still don’t do: document the work that I do. The person telling me that is a professional so she understand that working with digital packages you encounter a lot of problems and it involves loads of work that people who look at your work don’t even realise. It is difficult though as the processes are time consuming and when I am so engrossed in solving an issue I forget to document that process as possibly I no longer look at it as a project that I will be assessed on but a personal challenge and a learning curve.

I have tried a VR environment option for my tour but it didn’t work out as good. It looks interesting but that is not what I was going for.

Back to battling light. Taking the composition from a previous test that I have done using the Lux plug in,  didn’t quite work as it wouldn’t align properly with the set so I ditched that idea.

I have managed to get the spotlight on the pictures without the shadow dropping on the rest of the scene.

I had to redo my set as when I presented it it looked okey from the front but the walls were not laid in harmony with the ceiling and the floor so when I was moving the camera around the walls would get separated from the ceiling and the floor. In order to get a proper tour I need to make sure things are all aligned. Things that look good on picture are not always that great in 3D.

Once this is spot on I can start creating tour which will involve camera movements around the set to describe what is being shown.
