I have finally tackled what I was kind of dreading is making that 3D set come to life. I was dreading it as I have never done anything like this before I was kind of scared of “what if it doesn’t work”
I will make a corridor leading up to the platform as I want to show that my stills from the animation will also be displayed.
I am planning on adding on captions to explain the animation a bit by maybe adding quotes from Bethnal Green disaster victims and some about childhood. . Posters displayed on the underground are in portrait position whereas all of my images are in landscape.
Here is work in progress to adjust camera so as it gives a close up of the display.
I like the fact that the lighting that I have created is visible fine on close ups
It’s so easy to get confused when you need to animate almost all aspects of the camera: position, rotations, point of interest, zoom in and so on.
My presentation will consist of three parts: introduction to Bethnal Green disaster, explaining my response to the project as my animation and then the tour to explain how will I make it possible in real world.
The first part I am yet to animate by following one of the Lynda.com tutorials where using 2D images I would create a virtual flick through images. I may keep it a bit simpler though.
I will do a voice over to my presentation but first however I have to have it done.
Here is an example of what my tour will look like. I need to be realistic that it won’r be as smooth as I want it to be but for an amateur I need to take into consideration I won’t get it perfect straight away.
