Inside your head…

Going back to my ideas about creating an animation about what happens inside your head during stressful situation, inspired by the sound given for my project, I have I have been looking at some pictures from inside the brain to get the textures, shapes and movement ides.

I have also watched some videos of 3D trip around human brain.

This is truly interesting the overload of textures, colours and action but at the end of the day brain is the most complex organ in the body.

This is not going to be a project where I recreate the brain in detail but more about the experience itself.

After being introduced to Cinema 4D I have created some brain cells with impulses running through it. Cinema 4D is my absolute favourite however in combination with After Effects there is nothing impossible. I have got myself an educational licence so I can now use it for free at home.

This looks like a bunch of parasites. Maybe I will create some parasites to reflects the invasion on the brain?

What I like the most about the outcomes is that it looks virtual and realistic. Going back to my research I want to create different movements and create a lot of action as that’s what is going on inside the head especially in distress.

Here is a video of animated version. I have used the motive of zooming in to reflect the journey through the brain, blurriness to show confusion. This may all look too literal now but I am only experimenting and discovering possibilities using digital packages. I will also like to include elements of analogue as per usual I don’t want my animations to be digital only. Well it’s still early days and a lot of experimentations ahead of me.
